The first post on Buffalo’s Path consisted of this one line, “Reading the instructions is for those who lack a sense of adventure.”
This is the last post. Buffalo’s Path has served its purpose.
Thanks for reading.

Bye-bye little man. :-(
Not really, you're around. I said around, not round. But GOD you never understand me.

Buff, you have my respect. Stay in touch, please.

Good thing you can't see me, me pouting is not a pretty sight!
Very sorry to see you go but, you gotta do what you gotta do.
You're not gonna run away totally...are you? (Then I might have to add a whine to that pout and NOBODY wants to see that!)

This is a very sad day for me, Buff. You are my oldest continuous and most devoted visitor. I have enjoyed disagreeing with you for these nearly three years.
I don't know what has perpetuated this decision, but I hope that whatever it is you get under control real soon.
And most of all I hope that you 1. won't abandon those of us who continue to bang away at the keys, and will continue to try to set me straight, and 2. will, as you suggested the other day, start a new journal.
I have learned a great deal from reading your columns, and I have greatly broadened my perspectives in several areas that I otherwise might not have, and for that I thank you.
I wish you well, old friend.

I come by to visit the Buf, and what do I see before me?! Alas, poor Buffalo, I knew him well.........
They bury Bison?
I know damn well you haven't just up and run out of things to say, so I am rest assured that you will be spouting your words of wisdom elsewhere here in the blogosphere. However, I, like everyone else, will be irritated for some time to come to not have this blog to pick up in the morning to read with a nice cup of hot coffee, like the Sunday paper used to be.
This was the best blog I ever read, bar none, even better than that outstanding work we all know and love as TTEM, which is going through it's own version of slow times right now. My one aspiration in life is to write something even half as good as what has appeared here, and now that you are shutting down, well, maybe I have a shot......grin.
Ride hard and love life, my friend, and blessed be you and yours.

LN: Appreciate it, guy.
Allan: But a respite
Lili: Perhaps I understand you well enough to turn a deaf ear as you prattle on. :-)
Paul: Thank you, sir. The repect is certainly mutual.
Poet Girl: You are so damned adorable and sex when you pout!
nq: Appreciate it!
Steve: As long as you know where your nuggets are you are okay, mate.
Amethyst: Same back at you.
Anonymous: Thank you.
Your Majesty: Don't frown. It causes wrinkles.
morningstar: It's all good.
JS: I appreciate your words and I appreciate all the civil debates we have had over the years.
Captain: Much appreciated.
Michael: Thank you, bro. Truly.
Niece Denise: Ain't a thang, kiddo
Nuri: An idea yet to be born.
Blazn: You know where I am.

Yeah, you know... this is kind of sad.
Oh, well! As I am sure the whole blog has expressed...
"Oh, well. Shit changes. Life moves on. Life is sweet!"
Thanks for the ride, Buffalo!

Thanks for leaving your archives open for all who come here to have a look see. Then those new here will know why we all miss you so.
Go in peace. Aw hell, that's no fun. Go like this:
Life is NOT a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming...
"WOW---What a Ride!"

You get a little behind in your reading and poof, something you love goes away. Considering your goal was to improve your writing to get a book deal, I can only hope that has transpired and that somewhere in the future I'll be holding a hardcover book with your mug on it and your thoughts inside. Thanks for being here and on my blog.

Buff, Just checked in to see if any new comments have been added.
Why is it that some people don't have the courage to speak out and be identified but have to resort to anonymity. I guess that's why the U.S. has become a terrorist country -- cowardice by members of congress and citizen who are afraid to speak and be identified.
A second thing that has always mystified me is why people need to be negative and voice their opinion on everything. I read many articles with which I don't agree but I don't feel the need to belittle the author and I don't understand why many people do feel the need.

Hi Buff,
Since you closed comments on the "Ruminations" site, I thought I would come over here and leave a comment. I understand the feeling well and have entertained thoughts of doing the same. You'll be missed. I hope you choose to post now and again when the muse is stirred. Stop by and comment anytime. Pappy
