Come into My Parlour
I have always maintained a "live and let live" attitude ... except when it comes to bugs. They either stay out of my space or they die.
This would be why. Buffalo has apparently suffered a spider bite. He's been running a fever for two days now. Although he is improving, the bite area still looks raised and red, hot to the touch. Bugs must die!
It has made it nigh on impossible for him to focus enough to write anything. He is getting in a goodly number of naps and that's helping.
He, of course, refuses to see a doctor, so I am nursing him through this, best I can. Life is just one adventure after another, ain't it? More soup, baby?
He shall return soon as he's recovered.

I hope it was not a brown recluse......because he would definitely need medical treatment and the sooner the better!

That is just too funny. Not funny ha ha, but funny peculiar. I too rec'd a spider bite two days ago. Now my eye is completely swollen shut, (and hurts like the devil). I'm trying not to go out in public, it looks that bad.
Wishing Buffalo the best. It surely sounds like he couldn't have anyone better looking after him!

I've never had a spider bite that I know about, neither has anyone I know. How do you know it's a spider bite?

Awwww... poor Buffalo. Kick him until he stops complaining. He'll either rise because he's feeling better or because he's tired of being kicked. It's an old QofD family cure-all.
